AI GOVERNANCE · SOLUTIONS ARCHITECTURE · FORWARD-DEPLOYED

Reese
Crawford

AI is being deployed faster than anyone can govern it. I build systems in that gap, then sit in the room to explain them to the people who carry the risk. Technical depth, client-facing seat.

Governance frameworks are written for models. Almost none are written for the people and businesses those models describe. That gap is the work.

The Experience

Research, venture, and enterprise — three different lenses on the same question: protocols, capital, systems. At GOSH AI I build the misrepresentation risk taxonomy behind Sentinel and map the AI regulatory landscape into product strategy.

KOVIEFind your people, find your place

Student housing for the University of Arkansas, from the McMillon Innovation Studio where I manage the build. Kovie scrapes listings from four sources, de-duplicates and geocodes them, then scores them against a renter profile with a compatibility function. The feed is ranked, not just filtered. Expo and React Native on Supabase, with ingest and scoring as edge functions.

Sentinel Risk Scorer

GOSH AI's platform for governing how AI models represent brands. I built the entire client-facing portal and Meridian, the chatbot monitoring widget, using my misrepresentation risk taxonomy. A conditional rule engine scores six factors into severity tiers, with radar fingerprints, alert routing, and detection-coverage caveats.

The AI Regulatory Landscape & Brand Representation

Five regulatory regimes govern AI today — the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, state-level legislation, the FTC, and the SEC — and a single gap runs through all of them. Each was written to protect consumers and workers from AI. None was built to protect a brand that an AI system describes, recommends, or omits incorrectly. This memo maps each regime by how it handles risk, where it applies, and which party it regulates, then locates the space that AI brand governance occupies.

Decentralized Compute in the Consumer Sector

In an era where AI capabilities are increasingly concentrated among a handful of tech giants, decentralized AI infrastructure presents a compelling investment opportunity that challenges this centralization paradigm. This concentration has presented multiple challenges for users seeking transparency and control over their data, with privacy concerns and algorithmic opacity becoming significant barriers to trust. The importance of permissionless intelligence — where AI systems can be accessed, modified, and improved without gatekeepers — has emerged as a critical counterbalance to these centralized models. This paper examines why DeAI infrastructure layers are positioned to capture more sustainable value than consumer-facing applications. Our findings suggest that while consumer DeAI applications face intense competition, scalability concerns and commoditization risks, infrastructure providers benefit from stronger network effects, more accessible barriers to entry, and more sustainable revenue models.
